The chair itself is well constructed and sturdy. It will last years. However, what arrived was barely contained by the cardboard packaging. Only one strip of tape was used on the box flap seams, many of the staples held, but the lack of tape allowed for the elements to get inside the box. None of the box side seams were sealed with tape. The chair inside the box was not well secured, meaning the heavy parts flopped around inside the box. The box also arrived with a big hole in it. The chair inside the box was loosely protected by plastic, not sealed. It arrived with a small grease or oil stain on the fabric. It’s possible that the stain came from the factory. The color of the fabric, that I chose based on the website, was much lighter than the color sample picture. On the fabric page of the site showed the celestial rhea color as a very dark charcoal, not anywhere close to what arrived. The actual color of the fabric was a light gray color. I would not have chosen such a light color for a desk chair. They do warn that the colors may vary from the site color pictures, but it wasn’t even close to reality. They need better written descriptions of the colors. I even tried getting the support person from OM Seating to help with explaining the color, but they didn’t even have fabric swatches to look at. The site says they offer swatches of the fabric, but OM Seating didn’t have any.
I'm 5'2" and in my 50s so I needed a chair that fits well and is comfortable.
I upgraded to the Sherlock (taupe/mixed woven fabric) as it goes better with my decor compared to the typical black; I don't know how long the fabric will hold up as I've only had this chair for a few months but it seems like high quality and is quite durable.
The wheels roll smoothly and I like the adjustment options. Overall the chair seems very well made and is worth the price. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the seat is very firm foam and I prefer something softer as I have hip issues. I'll make a little cushion for extra softness that won't increase the height (I have it adjusted to the lowest height setting).

Not too many reviews online for this model but I took a chance and could not be happier with my decision. The chair is super comfortable, extremely well built, I have zero complaints. For reference my other office chair is a steel case leap v2, and the DB56 absolutely holds its own again the leap v2 in terms of quality. I think I actually prefer the lower back support of the DB56 to that of the leap. I went with the upgraded memory foam seat and would do so again.
We like this chair in our office, and just got a few more. Comfortable and durable product with fast shipping.

I love the Office Master DB53 chairs, they are the best for long hours of computer work. The cylinder lasted 10+ years and I love that I can purchase replacement parts. I hate how disposable things have become and I feel good about purchasing chairs that will last and can be repaired when needed. I replaced the cylinder and it works great!
I went with the Affirm because of the stool option for my sit stand desk with black evita leather option for a more upscale look. I also went with the extra cushioned seating and shortest arm rests which can angle in and also be easily removed when not using. The chair is built well and ships with only minor assembly needed. It has all the bells and whistles you’d find with more premium brands with even more customizable options. While the affirm has lumbar support built in I would have paid a little more to have the option of adding in additional lumbar support. This chair replaced a Steelcase Think. I’m glad I chose this over the Amia stool.
